At Carr & Carr, we fight for the rights of the individual, whether your claim involves an insurance company, a huge corporation, or a federal, state or local governmental agency. When we began in 1973, we were simply a father-and-son law firm. Now, more than 40 years later, we are a firm of around a dozen experienced attorneys and a support staff of about 30 with offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Northwest Arkansas. We at Carr & Carr do more than simply fight for our clients. Every one of us, from the receptionist waiting to greet you to the paralegals and attorneys, genuinely cares about you. We will listen to you and provide comfort and support when you need it. We have experience working with everything from Medicare and Medicaid, to arranging for stays in safe houses and shelters, to cutting through the bureaucratic red tape of social services organizations. We are willing to handle these problems even when the office is closed. We are willing to do these things because we believe our job is to use our knowledge about the legal system to improve the quality of life for our clients. We are the people’s law firm.

Patrick E. Carr
Founding AttorneyPatrick E. Carr co-founded the firm with his father, Eugene Carr, in 1973. He has been the principal attorney in the firm since his father’s passing in 1992. His practice is concentrated in cases involving brain injury, wrongful death and insurance bad faith. He has tried and argued cases in every United States Federal District Court in Oklahoma, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and numerous Oklahoma District Courts. Pat is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He has successfully represented the firm’s clients in a number of states. He has served as a Judge on the Oklahoma Temporary Court of Appeals, as a member of the Rules of Professional Conduct Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association, on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association as well as its Vice-President (2001) and President (2002). He has also authored numerous articles in the area of tort law and has lectured and taught for both the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He has been involved in a number of published legal opinions.

Michael E. Carr
AttorneyMichael E. Carr practices out of the Tulsa office of Carr & Carr. He graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration. Thereafter, he earned a Master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University. He returned to Oklahoma to earn a Juris Doctor degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is currently licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Oklahoma and also licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas. He works in all phases of litigation from pre-trial litigation to trial work.

Tye H. Smith
AttorneyTye is the managing attorney for our Oklahoma City office. He concentrates his practice in personal injury, wrongful death and insurance bad faith litigation. Tye handles most of the jury trials for our clients in Oklahoma City and the remaining western half of Oklahoma. He has obtained significant jury verdicts in the central, western and southeastern areas of Oklahoma. Laurie is a faculty coordinator for the Keenan Ball College, a nationally recognized training facility for plaintiff’s trial lawyers. She is also a graduate of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, which is a three-week, intensive training boot camp for plaintiff’s attorneys. Laurie enhances her trial skills to benefit her clients by working with some of the best trial lawyers in the country. She is on the National Crime Victim Bar Association Advisory Board.

AttorneyGreg Smart joined the firm of Carr & Carr in 2006. Before joining the firm, he was associated with the law firm of Brady, Schaulat & Falsetti in Oklahoma City, where he concentrated his practice on personal injury and negligence litigation, which included semi and auto accidents, premises liability, products liability, nursing home negligence and insurance law disputes. He was responsible for all phases of civil pre-trial and trial preparation matters and has appealed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court. Mr. Smart continues to focus on all types of personal injury and negligence litigation for Carr & Carr. An experienced personal injury attorney, he spent the first eight years of his career working for another local law firm. Thomas has focused his entire legal career on helping people injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog attacks and many other types of injuries. He has negotiated with insurance companies and tried cases to juries resulting in millions of dollars recovered on behalf of his clients. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas moved to Oklahoma to attend college. By the time he graduated from law school, Thomas knew Oklahoma was where he wanted to live and raise his family. Christopher L. Brinkley
AttorneyChris Brinkley has called Oklahoma home for nearly his entire life. At an early age, Chris had aspirations of becoming an astronaut. Those dreams fell short though, when he got his first pair of glasses, forcing him to realize he would likely never fly in space. However, his passion for the industry eventually led to him getting an undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering. Chris then returned to school at the University of Tulsa College of Law where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honors fraternity and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1994. He has utilized his engineering degree since his first legal job in which he prepared lawyers to depose engineers. John “Jack” Beesley
AttorneyA native Texan and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Jack Beesley has dedicated his life to helping injured Oklahomans.
